The spread between Italy's 10-year
BTP bond and the German Bund dropped to 105.5 basis points in
early trading on Thursday, the lowest level since October 2021.
The spread, an important measure of Italy's borrowing costs,
closed at 108 basis points on Wednesday.
The yield on the BTP dropped by five basis points to 3.5%.
