Industrial production declined by
3.5% in 2024 compared to 2023, ISTAT said Wednesday.
The national statistics agency explained that the tendential
dynamic of the calendar-adjusted industrial production index was
negative for all months of the year, with conjunctural drops
recorded in all trimesters.
In December 2024, the seasonally-adjusted industrial production
index was estimated to have declined by 3.1% compared to
November.
Net of calendar effects, the overall index in December 2024
recorded a year-on-year 7.1% decline (there were 20 calendar
working days compared to 18 in December 2023).
