Rail services across Italy were hit by
an eight-hour strike called by the Filt Cgil, Fit-Cisl and
Uiltrasporti trade unions on Tuesday to protest against the
failure to find an agreement to renew the sector's collective
contract.
Services were hit by both delays and cancellations.
At Naples's main train station, for example, several
Frecciarossa high-speed services to Milan were scrubbed along
with some regional services.
