The Italian Embassy in Doha is once again participating in the 'Katara European Jazz Festival', held from 5 to 8 December in Doha. Now in its eighth edition, the festival, organised by the Katara Cultural Village Foundation with the collaboration of the Eunic cluster, aims to strengthen cultural ties between Qatar and Europe, not only for jazz fans.
Representing Italy for 2024 is the band Collettivo Immaginario accompanied by vocalist Paola Gladys. Collettivo Immaginario is a line-up consisting of Alberto Lincetto (keyboards), Nicolò Masetto (electric bass) and Tommaso Cappellato (percussion) and is active worldwide.
During the presentation press conference, the Italian Ambassador, Paolo Toschi, emphasised the cultural value of this festival and expressed enthusiasm for Italy's participation in this important musical event, in which it has taken part since its first edition. 'It is a pleasure for us, as the Italian Embassy,' he said, 'to participate once again in the Katara European Jazz Festival. We believe in art as a tool to create bridges between peoples and cultures: every year, thanks to this event, through music, we make it possible to bring Qatar and Europe closer and closer".
