A convivial event was held at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Conakry to which all members of the Italian and Italo-Guinean community registered with AIRE or otherwise present in Guinea were invited. The event was an opportunity for Ambassador Tarek Chazli (who took office on 7 January 2025 to replace Ambassador Stefano Pontesilli) to introduce all the Embassy (and AICS) staff to the Italian community, as well as the head of the Consular Chancellery in Dakar (responsible for Guinea), Dr Alessia Quartetti. The event, the first of its kind in Conakry, allowed the Ambassador and Dr. Quartetti to update the compatriots on a series of consular issues, on the referendum elections scheduled for spring and on the new forms of collaboration that the Italian Embassy in Conakry and the one in Dakar have launched to strengthen services to compatriots living in Guinea.
