Cristiano Cerchiai was elected
president of the Italian Gold Federation (FIG) replacing
long-time head Franco Chimenti who died last October.
"It's an honour to succeed Franco Chimenti," he said.
Chimenti died October 3 aged 85.
He had been FIG chief since 2002.
