AC Milan are set to sign Joao Felix
after reaching an agreement with Chelsea on the final day of the
winter transfer market on Monday to take the Portugal
midfielder-cum-forward on loan.
The 25-year-old landed in Milan on Monday in view of a medical
for the move on Tuesday.
His arrival completes a busy month of business during the window
for Milan, who replaced coach Paulo Fonseca with Sergio
Conceicao in December after a poor start to the season and are
currently eighth in Serie A with 35 points, 19 behind leaders
Napoli.
On Monday they announced the arrival of Mexico forward Santiago
Gimenez from Feyenoord on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
The 23-year-old joined the Rotterdam side in the summer of 2022,
scoring 65 goals in 105 appearances with them and winning one
Eredivisie title and a KNVB Cup.
He has 32 Mexico caps and has scored four international goals.
Seven-time European champions Milan have also brought in England
right-back Kyle Walker.
The 34-year-old joined Milan from Manchester City on loan with
an option for a permanent deal at the end of the season.
There has been outgoing traffic too.
Spain forward Alvaro Morata left seven-time European champions
Milan and joined Galatasaray on loan at the weekend.
Full-back and former captain Davide Calabria has been loaned to
Bologna until the end of the season, when his contract with
Milan is set to expire, after a big bust-up with Conceicao.
Milan have also loaned Algeria midfielder Ismaël Bennacer to
Marseille.
