Pope Francis was forced to cut short a
homily in the Vatican Sunday saying that he was having trouble
breathing amid a bout of severe bronchitis.
"Now I apologize a little, and ask the master to continue
reading, because I have difficulty breathing", said the
87-year-old Argentine pontiff to applause from the dozens of
military personnel present in St. Peter's Square at the mass for
the Jubilee of the Armed Forces, interrupting the reading of the
homily and passing the text to be read by Archbishop Diego
Ravelli, master of the Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations.
