Antonio Tajani said Monday that Elon Musk's new Make Europe
Great Again (MEGA) project "is not my Europe".
"It's not my Europe, I believe in a federal, popular Europe,
that has a Judeo-Christian soul, I believe in federalism, I am a
European sovereignist and I am also an Italian patriot
obviously, but then everyone has their own ideas, those are not
mine", Tajani said on his arrival at the European Parliament
office in Rome for an event on Africa.
Asked if Musk's idea is dangerous, Tajani replied that "in a
democracy nothing is dangerous, I believe that they are ideas
that must be discussed. I defend mine and I have said what they
are".
