There is no case open at the
International Criminal Court against Italian officials, a
spokesman confirmed Thursday.
Newspaper Avvenire had reported that the ICC had opened a probe
after a Sudanese refugee filed a complaint over the government's
handling of the arrest, release and flight home of Libyan
alleged war criminal Osama Asmari.
Government sources denied this saying that the refugee had only
sent an email to the ICC prosecutor's office and it could take
months to get a reply.
