Last week, Dacia reached the
8,000,000 vehicle production milestone at its Mioveni plant in
Romania with an Indigo Blue Bigster. The Mioveni plant, the
brand's historic cradle, was inaugurated on August 20, 1968,
with the launch of the Dacia 1100, a Renault R8-derived model.
The family of models developed under the Renault 12 licence
dominated production in the plant's first thirty years of
operation.
