(ANSA-AFP) - FRANKFURT, APR 30 - German inflation slowed less
than expected in April, official data showed Wednesday, as the
European Central Bank weighs further interest rate cuts amid
surging trade tensions. Annual inflation in Europe's largest
economy was 2.1 percent in April year-on-year, according to
preliminary data from federal statistics agency Destatis, down
from 2.2 percent in March. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had
expected a figure of 2.0 percent for April. (ANSA-AFP).
