A father and son were caught red-handed trying to kill the 97-year-old family matriarch with a poisoned mousse, Turin police said Monday. The 62-year-old grandson and 36-year-old great-grandson were arrested at the Pinerolo hospital after they tried to feed the woman the dessert tainted with rat poison, said police, who added it was not the first time the pair had attempted to murder her for the inheritance. The pair reportedly confessed.
