King Charles said in his historic
speech to a joint session of the Italian parliament Wednesday
that Britain experienced a real Garibaldi mania when the
Risorgimento hero visited in the mid 19th century.
"When Garibaldi came to our country the people were infected by
a Garibaldi-mania: a biscuit was even created in his name, the
greatest sign of honor" for us," Charles said.
