Big Tech should not be discriminated
against in taxation, according to a joint statement by United
States President Donald Trump and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni
issued after their meeting at the White House Thursday.
"We underscore the importance of information technology to
foster free enterprise overseas. We agreed on the need for a
non-discriminatory environment in terms of taxation of digital
services to foster investments by cutting-edge technology
companies", read the statement released by the White House after
the bilateral meeting.
